The most widely used methods of business valuation are:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2><strong>Market Value Method<\/strong>: if the value of comparable businesses is determined or can be determined based on available data, it can be used to define the target company\u2019s valuation by applying different coefficients. This valuation method is the most subjective one and is typically used for the preliminary valuation or as a back-up option<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2><strong>Asset-Based Method<\/strong>: this approach considers business value as a total net asset value, minus the value of total liabilities<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2><strong>Discounted Cash Flow Method<\/strong>: long-term projections of company\u2019s future performance (usually in form of <a href=\"\/financial-modeling\/\"><strong>financial models<\/strong><\/a> are used to determine its value.
